Cecilia’s Saturday night surprise
It was a case of mum’s the word when neonatal nurse Cecilia Lam was given tickets to Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway without realising she would feature in the show in recognition of her long-service with the NHS.
Cecilia can be seen enjoying the show before Ant picks her out of the audience.
Cecilia said: “It was a total surprise and I was speechless when he mentioned my name. It was an amazing experience and I was completely kept in the dark by my matron Ann and family.”
Ant had a further surprise when the show invited a group of people along who Cecilia had looked after when they were babies on the unit.
The clip of a shocked Cecelia being confronted by Ant attracted more than 90,000 views on X.
Comments on social media included Emma Sifi who said: "Thank you Cecilia for looking after my baby girl Hana. It was lovely being in the audience for you."
Cecila added: I’ve always loved babies so it is the perfect job."
The mother of four still works one day a week at Northwick Park.
