Ealing’s Big Picture

Ealing Hospital has its share of drama but lets film and TV shows take centre stage with a small exhibition in its upstairs Galleria.

The hospital has been a popular backdrop for filmmakers since it opened in 1979.

LNWH Charity has funded the first of four mini exhibitions to use the upstairs space.

Shows filmed at the hospital include Top Boy, McMafia, This is Going to Hurt and The Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Scenes from the early seasons of Silent Witness where filmed in and around the mortuary, while super agent Jack Bauer came to the rescue when terrorists blew it up with the aid of SFX in long running series 24.
