Top marks for Keiran
Congratulations to Keiran Goreeba who has won the Educator of the Year Award from the Association for Perioperative Practice.
Keiran, who works at Central Middlesex Hopsital was championed by his students who praised his calm reassurance, high expectations and belief in their potential.
The AfPP, which champions patient care before, during and after surgery, recognised Keiran's hands-on approach and his commitment to go above and beyond for his students.
This included writing a 100-page teaching booklet, Fundamentals of Perioperative Practice.
Supporting statements for his nomination included his ability to simplify complex information, links theory to clinical practice, and create a safe environment where students felt able to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without fear of judgement.
