Uchu is a royal fellow
A consultant pharmacist at St Mark's Hospital has been appointed a fellow of the Royal College of Pharmacy (RCP) for her outstanding contribution to the profession.
It was further kudos for Uchu Meade who earlier became the first LNWH pharmacist to qualify as an RCP Consultant Pharmacist recognising her advanced clinical practice and leadership.
Uchu, who specialises in intestinal failure, rehabilitation and clinical nutrition, said: “I am honoured to be appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Pharmacy. Pharmacy has given me the opportunity to improve patient care, develop services, teach, undertake research and work alongside inspiring colleagues.
“I am grateful to the peers who supported my nomination and hope to continue contributing to the profession and support other pharmacists helping them develop and achieve their potential.”
Uchu is also chair of the London Intestinal Failure Pharmacy Network and Communications Officer for the British Pharmaceutical Nutrition Group. She also contributes to the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) through its Educational and Clinical Practice Committee supporting education and development within clinical nutrition.
