Pick your favourite nurse for a Daisy Award

The public can show their appreciation for nurses in Ealing by nominating them for a Daisy Award.

The awards were established by the family of the late J. Patrick Burns who recognised the care and compassion given to him by nurses while being treated in hospital for a rare auto immune condition.

Ealing is the first hospital in LNWH trust to promote the award with winners being presented with a 'healers touch' sculpture and certificate Nominations can be made by patients, families, friends, and carers with six nurses chosen every three months.

For more information about nominating someone, please see www.lnwh.nhs.uk/daisy-awards The Daisy award will be extended to the trust's remaining hospitals later this year and will include both nurses and midwives.
