Other referral pathways
Some of our services and clinics accept referrals from non-GP referrers, teaching professionals, or parents or guardians. Some services accept paper referrals for clinically urgent cases only.
Orthotics service referrals
Referrals from GPs
Adult orthotics referrals
London North West University Healthcare does not currently accept GP referrals for adult orthotics through the electronic referrals service (eRS).
Community MSK hubs in Harrow and Brent and Community podiatry in Ealing will continue to be able to refer podiatry cases requiring specialist orthotics support onto the service as appropriate.
This allows patients to have swifter assessments and receive treatment in the most appropriate setting for their needs.
If you have any urgent questions, please get in touch with the orthotics team on lnwh-tr.orthoticsadmin@nhs.net , who will be happy to help.
Paediatric orthotics referrals
GPs can continue to refer children to the LNWH orthotics service using eRS if they are:
- Five years old or older
-
Younger than 16.
Podiatry
As always, please make all adult referrals for basic foot issues to the relevant community teams where they will be assessed and triaged for treatment.
- For patients in Brent and Harrow, refer to the North West London community MSK service with Cora Health
- For patients in Ealing, refer to ealingcommunity.referrals@nhs.net (changing from 9 Jan 2026 to wlt.ealingcommunity.referrals@nhs.net ), using the Ealing podiatry service referral form in System 1.
