Chaplaincy and pastoral care

We're here to listen, care and support you - whatever you're going through.

Our chaplaincy support is open to patients, visitors and staff, and you don't need to follow any faith to talk to us.

We offer a calm, welcoming space to talk, reflect or simply be listened to. People contact us for many reasons, including anxiety, loss, difficult news or just needing someone to talk to.

Our inclusive service reflects the diverse communities we care for. Our team includes chaplains from a range of faiths, and we also work closely with local faith leaders.

Chaplaincy support is available at all our hospital sites, including Meadow House Hospice.

Non-urgent referrals and contact us

Urgent referrals

Call the hospital switchboard on 020 8864 3232 and ask for the on-call chaplain:

• during working hours
• during out-of-hours Sunday to Wednesday from 4pm to 9am
• for urgent end-of-life referrals

The on-call chaplain can check which priest is available, including a Roman Catholic priest in our local area for urgent sacramental support and end of life support. They can contact them directly, so you and your loved ones can receive timely, compassionate care.

Multi-faith centre

Location: off the main corridor of Northwick Park Hospital, next to the X-ray department

Services and prayers

• Roman Catholic Mass takes place every Sunday at 3.30pm, check noticeboard near multi-faith centre entrance for next service dates. 
• Muslim Friday prayers take place weekly in the centre. Check noticeboard outside prayer room for up-to-date prayer times.

Prayer room

• located opposite the physiotherapy department from the main corridor of Northwick Park Hospital
• open daily from 10am to 5pm, ask a member of staff for access out of hours or contact security during unsocial hours
• Ablution facilities are available on the ground floor of the Multi-faith centre
