Chief Executive announces retirement

A message from Peter Worthington, Chair:

"It is with considerable regret that I announce that our CEO, Dame Jacqueline Docherty has decided to retire at the end of this financial year after fifty years in the NHS and five years in post.

"Jacqueline joined the Trust in early 2015, following the merger of Ealing NHS Trust and North West London Hospitals NHS Trusts in 2014. Jacqueline has been an inspirational driving force in bringing these organisations together, improving our operational performance, accountability and governance, developing leadership and workforce capability, and setting a course towards a more strategically viable future. At the same time, she has never lost sight of her ultimate goal: to improve services for patients.

"Jacqueline can look back with great pride on the difference she has made at LNWH and indeed, throughout her long career as a nurse, clinical manager, director and chief executive across NHS organisations in Scotland and London.

"I would like to thank Jacqueline on behalf of the LNWH Trust Board for her leadership, integrity and passion for delivering the best possible care to each and every patient. I thank her also for her exemplary dedication to making our NHS the best it can be, regardless of what circumstances and challenges we face. Part of doing this is planning for the future, and she leaves behind an executive leadership team that is well placed to drive our Trust forward towards our aspirations.

"As a Chair, I would like to add that, personally, it has been a great privilege to work alongside Jacqueline over the past five years. I am sure that the whole Trust would wish to join with me in wishing her every success and happiness in the next chapter of her life."
