Holly credits our team for saving son's life

We would like to say a huge thank you to Holly Blake who recently donated over £450 worth of Body Shop pamper products to our A&E teams and children’s ward Jack’s Place at Northwick Park Hospital.

Pictured from left to right is nurse Frankie, matron Alison, and Holly.

Holly wanted to thank our teams for taking care of her son Ethan (10) who was seriously ill with coronavirus at the beginning of the year.

Ethan has the life-limiting condition mitochondrial disease, which means he suffers from strokes.

On 6 January, Ethan, with Holly, was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

“They definitely saved Ethan’s life" said Holly.

“On that day they managed his symptoms perfectly with their amazing expertise. I cannot thank them enough.

“They were so calm and professional. He received great care.

“So when was well enough to come home from hospital I wanted to say thank you to the teams who looked after him and give them a little boost at this difficult time.

“We are very lucky to have such an amazing hospital on our doorstep and I cannot praise them enough for what they do.”

Holly had help from family and friends, Wealdstone Football Club, and St John Fisher Primary School, Pinner
