Surgical hub wins accreditation
Central Middlesex Hospital has been recognised as an accredited surgical hub for adults by NHS England's Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) team.
It fully met five of six 'domains,' while partially meeting the remaining one. The domains included Patient Pathway, Governance, patient outcomes with utilisation and productivity
The hub specialises in high volume, low complexity surgical procedures including Ear, Nose and Throat, Ophthalmology and Urology.
GIRFT is a national programme is designed to improve the treatment and care of patients through clinically led reviews and data analysis looking at how things are done and can be improved.
