Wanted: more green fingered volunteers
We are still looking for green-fingered volunteers to take part in our gardening initiative at Ealing Hospital with sessions being held between 10am-2pm on April 3, 10, 17 and 24.
Attendees don’t have to work the full four hours so any help would be appreciated. The meeting point is the car park in front of the hospital.
The green makeover was given the thumbs up by staff who earlier voted for four projects as part of a £1m donation by LNWH Charity.
The trust, which is working in partnership with Cultivate London, is looking for volunteers who can be periodically available during the next ten months with the busiest time between April and May.
Several locations have been identified on each site which will be used to encourage biodiversity including attracting more insect and wildlife.
Works will include racking and leveling, spreading manure, sowing wild flowers and planting, watering and creating composting bays.
