Our orthotics team treat and rehabilitate you if you need an orthosis to:
- aid your movement
- correct a deformity
- relieve your discomfort.
An orthosis is a device used to support, align, prevent or correct deformities and improve movement in parts of your body.
They are designed to treat or relieve a medical condition or disability. In some cases, they can prevent you from developing more disabling conditions.
Conditions cared for by orthotics
Orthotics can help provide you with support for a number of conditions, including:
- orthopedics: supporting your joints before and after an operation
- rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis: providing pain relief andaccommodation of deformity through custom bracing and footwear
