St. Mark’s Foundation

The St Mark’s Hospital Foundation funds and supports the world leading research and education programs at St Mark’s Hospital – an international centre of clinical excellence, research and education for the diagnoses and treatment of intestinal and colorectal diseases and cancer.

The Foundation develops research and innovation within the hospital and ensures that this research is translated into world-leading clinical solutions, which dramatically improve patient outcomes.

The Foundation will achieve this by strengthening the four principles that underpin it:

  1. Dedicated research teams that develop new treatments, translate them into clinical care and educate to disseminate best practice
  2. The attraction of a critical mass of experts able to collaborate in international research
  3. Provisioning the most advanced systems and technology, including robotic surgery, advanced imaging and sophisticated endoscopic equipment
  4. A single physical environment housing research, education and clinical teams working in collaboration across disciplines
