Friends and Family Test offer SMS

The trust has launched the Friends and Family Test (FFT) SMS service.

It will gives people the chance to offer feedback about the service they have received and help the trust improve its services.

Automated FFT means patients will receive an SMS 48 hours after being discharged asking them how positive their experience was. The SMS will come from the number ‘80870’. This service is free and you will not be charged for response.

If the patient has a landline, they can receive an automated voicemail asking to use their keypad to give a rating. They can also record a message.

FFT, which is quick and completely anonymous, is being rolled out following a successful trial. It is now in operation for adult A&E at Northwick Park and Ealing hospitals, Daycare and Outpatient Services.

FFT for maternity services will be rolled out in the next few weeks with plans to include other clinics, such as Gynaecology services and Children’s services.

Anyone who receives the SMS will have the ability to opt out. They can do this by simply replying Stop when they receive the message.
