Kanchan offers helping hand
It’s Volunteers’ Week and every day we will be tipping our hat to some of the people who keep our hospital sites running.
Kanchan Shah volunteers across two sites at Northwick Park and St Mark’s hospitals helping keep patients’ company.
“I’ve had some personal experience with the NHS so relate to what patients are going through. I enjoy helping other people and giving something back.”
Kanchan, who volunteers several days a week, enjoys chatting with patients as well as reading to them and making the odd cuppa.
“I like to think I am making a difference.”
