Official opening for diagnostic centre
Ealing Clinical Diagnostic Centre was ‘officially’ opened last week.
Neha Unadkat, Borough Director, Ealing, NHS North West London, and Councillor Ben Wesson cut the ribbon on the new £30m centre which will help ease pressure on existing hospital services and reduce waiting times for diagnostic tests.
It coincided with the centre recently treating its 2,000th patient.
Cllr Wesson said: “GPs are now making direct referrals to this centre, offering their patients a faster and more convenient service, as well as helping to reduce unnecessary hospital visits.
“Ultimately this new centre means quicker diagnosis. Cancer and other issues can now be picked up as quickly as possible. And that means this centre is going to save lives.”
