Peregrines welcome new offspring

Ealing Hospital peregrines Dusty and Freddy have been busy keeping an eye on the two latest additions to the family.

Two of the four eggs laid by Dusty hatched several weeks ago.

To date, the pair have produced seven offspring after setting up home on a ledge on the tenth floor in 2022.

This was encouraged by Ealing Wildlife Group (EWG) who set up a nest box.

Peregrines remain relatively rare in London and the news has been welcomed by local vet Sean McCormack who is also Chair of EWG.

"It’s great to see peregrines breeding again.”
