Trial can boost you and your bank account
Volunteers for the latest Covid-19 trial are being offered £225 to participate.
Applicants must be aged 30 or over, had a booster at least three months ago and not previously had the virus.
The Omicron Variant Booster study will compare a fourth dose of either the Pfizer vaccine or a modified version of the Moderna vaccine which has been slightly altered to cover the Omicron variant.
Volunteers will be offered £45 for each of their five hospital visits to Northwick Park.
Dr Alastair McGregor, a consultant at Northwick Park Hospital leading on Covid-19 vaccine research, said: “Although Covid-19 may currently be in retreat, we know from experience that things could look very different if another mutant emerges. This study will provide invaluable data on how well vaccines that have been adapted to cover covid variants work in people who have already been vaccinated.”
